SMT-B100 Waterborne Polyurethane Waterproof Coating is an eco-friendly single-component water-based waterproof coating. It uses polyacrylate emulsion as the base material, is formulated with various functional additives, and adopts water as its dispersion medium. It features excellent film elongation, storage stability, film mechanical properties, water resistance, solvent resistance and aging resistance, as well as outstanding low- temperature performance. It is a waterproof coating applicable to all types of engineering projects in the current market. This coating is free from solvent pollution. It forms a cured film through water evaporation and polymer coalescence, and is convenient for on-site construction.
Application Areas
- Flat, pitched and various irregular roofs of industrial and civil buildings, especially decorative roofs and sports grounds;
- Anti-seepage and sealing works for subways, tunnels, passages, water pools, expansion joints, construction joints, deformation joints, roof gutters and all kinds of water conservancy projects;
- It can also be used for repairing building cracks and sealing expansion joints.
Package
- The standard color of this product is gray, and custom color matching is available.The product is normally packaged in 20kg drums, and packaging specifications can be customized according to customers' actual requirements
Before application:
- Compatibility tests between the coating and adjacent materials, as well as adhesion tests to the substrate to be bonded, shall be conducted prior to construction.
Construction Method:
- Clean the substrate surface to ensure it is firm, free from looseness, floating dust, loose mortar, oil stains and other foreign matters;
- Cracks and defects shall be repaired first. Fully wet the substrate before coating application, and ensure no standing water remains on the surface;
- For detail positions such as internal and external corners and pipe roots, cut polyester fabric according to the shape to make reinforcement layers, so as to avoid hollowing and cracking;
- It can be applied by scratch coating or mechanical spraying. Multiple coats are recommended to reach the designed thickness. The next coating can be carried out only after the previous coat is dry and non-sticky to touch;
- Laying of protective layer or finishing material shall be carried out after the coating film is fully cured. Prevent sharp objects from puncturing the coating during construction.
- Use the product within shelf life; expired goods areprohibited.
- Construct strictly in accordance with adhesion testprocedures.
- Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Do notingest.
- Keep away from children and store out of theirreach.
- It is not recommended to apply the coating in environments with relative humidity higher than 80% (>80%RH), as the coating cures through water evaporation.
- Application is not recommended when the substrate surface temperature is below 5℃ or above40℃.
- Not suitable for surfaces covered with frost or standing water.
- When bonding to cement or concrete substrates, ensure the substrate is fully dry and cured for 7 days before application; otherwise, adhesion performance will be affected.
- Not suitable for materials that may exude oils, plasticizers or solvents, such as oil-impregnated wood.
