Usage Instructions

Before application:

- Prior to construction, perform compatibility tests between this flooring adhesive and contacting materials, as well as adhesion tests on substrates to be bonded.

Construction Method:

- Absorbent Substrates:

- The coating operation shall be carried out in an environment controlled at 23 ± 2°C and 50 ± 5% relative humidity. Using a standard notched trowel (spreader), apply the adhesive evenly at a 60° angle to the substrate surface. The adhesive layer on the substrate shall be uniform, with no missed areas, adhesive buildup, or sagging/running. The coating coverage shall extend 5–10 mm beyond the edges of the flooring panel on all sides to prevent edge starvation (lack of adhesive). During application, the trowel shall be moved consistently in the same direction to minimize the entrapment of air bubbles within the adhesive layer.

- After coating, allow the adhesive to open (dwell) for approximately 10–15 minutes to achieve optimal tack for bonding. Then, carefully position the flooring panel onto the adhesive layer in a steady, even manner, avoiding any dragging or sliding that may cause displacement of the adhesive. Subsequently, use a rubber mallet to gently tap the floor panel, working from the center outward toward the edges, in order to expel any trapped air between the adhesive layer and the flooring. The tapping force shall be controlled within the range of approximately 5–10 N.

- Within 1–2 hours after laying, use a straightedge (ruler) to check the floor surface flatness. For any panels that have shifted out of alignment, gently tap them with a rubber mallet to adjust, and do not forcibly pry or lever them into place. If edge warping (curling) occurs, place heavy objects on the warped area as weights to hold it down firmly. During the 48 hours immediately following installation, strictly prohibit the following: Repeated walking on the floor; Stacking heavy materials or objects on the floor; Carrying out any other construction operations on the floor. During this 48-hour curing period, inspect the floor condition daily. If any hollow spots (voids/blisters) are detected, re-apply adhesive into the void area in a timely manner to fill and correct.

- Adjustment Methods for Abnormal Temperature and Humidity Conditions on Absorbent Substrates:

- 1. Low Temperature & High Humidity Environment (Temperature < 15°C, Humidity > 60%)

- 1.1 The optimal open (dwell) time for adhesive application shall be extended to 20–30 minutes.

- 1.2 The initial fixing (setting) time shall be extended to 2–3 hours, and the adjustment window for repositioning floor panels shall be appropriately postponed accordingly.

- 2. High Temperature & Low Humidity Environment (Temperature > 30°C, Humidity < 40%)

- 2.1 No open/dwell time is required after adhesive application; flooring installation shall proceed immediately within 0–5 minutes.

- 2.2 It is recommended to apply adhesive for no more than 1 m² at a time, followed by immediate laying of the corresponding floor panels within that area.

Limitations & Guidelines

- Not suitable for damp or rising-damp substrates (e.g., basements lacking a damp-proof course, or concrete with excessive moisture content).

- The application temperature shall not be lower than 5°C nor higher than 40°C.

- It shall not be used in areas subject to prolonged water immersion / persistently high humidity, or in zones exposed to intense direct sunlight and high temperatures.

- It shall not be used in combination with strong solvents, acids, alkalis, or curing agents.

- The substrate surface shall be kept clean, dry, and free from any contaminants (dirt, grease, oil, or other residues) prior to application.

- The product shall be used within its shelf life. Expired products shall not be used.

- Application shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the procedures established in the bonding test (adhesion test).

- Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Do not ingest.

- Keep out of reach of children.

- Ventilate work area during curing – product releases trace chemicals; non-toxic after curing.

- Ambient temperature and humidity have a certain influence on the curing rate of the adhesive. Prior to construction, attention shall be paid to changes in environmental conditions, and timely control or adjustment measures shall be implemented accordingly.
