Performance Characteristics:
•Eco-friendly product: ultra-low VOC, non-toxic and odorless; free of contamination and corrosion to all substrates
•Outstanding adhesion: excellent bonding performance on building materials such as glass, aluminum, cement, concrete and stone
•High modulus and high mechanical strength, satisfying bonding and sealing demands with high adhesion strength requirements for indoor applications
•Good paintability: the cured surface can be painted or coated
•Excellent resistance to high and low temperatures
•Easy workability: single-component formula for simple construction. It features favorable extrudability within the temperature range of 5℃~40℃, and can be directly extruded with a caulking gun for on-site application
Elastic adhesives including SMT-M09, M10 and other models are formulated with specially copolymer-modified silicone rubber resin as the base component, together with other special active additives. Once the extruded adhesive paste contacts air, it will undergo vulcanization reaction with moisture in the atmosphere, curing gradually from surface to core into an elastomer to realize its bonding and sealing functions. The fully cured adhesive is tough and highly elastic, delivering outstanding mechanical properties.
Application Areas
- Sealing of indoor joints
- Interior decoration works
- Special for copper doors
Package
- This product is available in standard 300ml rigid cartridges, 24 pieces per carton, and 600ml foil sachets, 20 pieces per carton. Custom filling is available upon customer request.
Before application:
- Prior to application, compatibility tests between the sealant and contacting materials as well as adhesion tests on the substrates to be bonded shall be carried out.
Construction Method:
- All application surfaces must be clean, dry and free of contaminants.
- Fit the cartridge into a suitable caulking gun. Cut the nozzle according to joint width, then extrude sealant into the joint to ensure full contact between sealant and joint edges.
- Compact the sealant with a proper tool and scrape off excess material.
- Not suitable for locations with long-term service temperature above 80℃.
- Not applicable for glass glazing installation.
- Do not carry out construction when the substrate surface temperature is lower than 5℃ or higher than 40℃.
- Not recommended for substrates that exude grease, plasticizers or solvents, e.g. oil-impregnated wood surfaces.
- Unsuitable for areas permanently immersed in water or perpetually damp environments.
- Cannot be used for bonding polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
- When bonding cement or concrete substrates, the substrates must be fully dry and cured for 7 days prior to application; otherwise the adhesion performance will be compromised.
- The application surface must be kept clean, dry and free of grime.
- Use the product within its shelf life; expired products are forbidden for use.
- Construction shall be performed strictly in accordance with the adhesion compatibility test procedure.
- Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes; do not ingest.
- Keep away from children. Store out of children's reach.
- Trace amounts of chemical substances will be released during curing. Adequate ventilation must be maintained at the work site. The fully cured sealant is non-toxic to humans.
