•High bonding strength, superior shear strength and outstanding aging resistance
SMT-M402 High-Strength Instant Tack Sintered Stone No-Nail Adhesive is an elastic adhesive formulated with specially copolymer-modified silicone rubber resin as the main raw material, combined with other special active additives. After extrusion and exposure to air, the adhesive paste undergoes vulcanization reaction with atmospheric moisture, curing gradually from the surface inward to form an elastomer to achieve bonding effect. It is suitable for vertical bonding and features excellent initial tack and anti-slip performance right after application. The fully cured adhesive bead is tough and elastic, boasting superior mechanical properties including tensile performance, elongation rate, shear strength, adhesion and aging resistance.
Application Areas
- Outdoor applications: wall surfaces, decorative panels, swimming pools
- Indoor applications: decorative boards, panels, skirting boards, mirrors, ceramics and bonding of various substrates
Package
- This product is available in standard 300ml rigid cartridges (24 pieces per carton) and 600ml soft sausage packs (20 pieces per carton). Custom filling specifications can be provided upon customer request.
Before application:
- Compatibility test between the sealant and contact materials as well as adhesion test on substrates to be bonded shall be conducted prior to construction.
Construction Method:
- Clean the substrate surface to ensure it is solid and free of loose debris, dust, mortar residue, grease and other contaminants.
- Apply the adhesive with a caulking gun in beads or dots at intervals of approximately 15 cm.
- Press the bonded pieces firmly together for 3 seconds.
- Do not apply load to the bonded joint within the first 24 hours.
- Not to be used as structural sealant.
- Do not apply when the substrate surface temperature is lower than 5℃ or higher than 40℃.
- Unsuitable for substrates that exude grease, plasticizers or solvents, such as surfaces of oil-impregnated wood.
- Not recommended for locations with continuous water immersion or all-year-round high humidity.
- The bonding surface must be clean, dry and free of dirt and impurities.
- Use within the shelf life; expired products are forbidden to use.
- Construction must be carried out in strict accordance with adhesion test procedures.
- Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes; do not ingest.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Trace chemicals will be released during curing. Sufficient ventilation must be maintained at the working area; the cured adhesive is non-toxic to human bodies.
- Ambient temperature and humidity will affect the curing speed of the adhesive. Check environmental conditions before construction and make timely adjustments as needed.
